Thumbs up What all things to look for while choosing a Web Hosting Service?

When I plan to buy a new hosting service, I plan in ahead as what will be required for me and then only go for it.

    For Example,
When I was looking to buy a hosting plan for my VBulletin forum, I figured out that

    1. VB uses lots of MySql things, so I need high number of connections
    2. For a start I don't need VPS, at least of 5-6 months
    3. I don't have intention to host any more websites on the new hosting plan

    Then after some research I found out HostGator to be a good choice. Why because;
    1. Their hatching plan is cheap and good for starters. Its for a single domain.
    2. They provide 25 MySql connections even in the shared hosting. Thats good enough for a mid-size forum
    3. There is no limit in Bandwidth and space but this feature comes with all the plans now and provided by every hosting service.

Apart from that HostGator has good name and customer service is best in industry. So I went ahead with HostGator hatching plan.

What is your story? I know all of you must be having a Blog or Website and it will be a good learning stuff for everyone if you share the reasons for choosing a particular hosting service.

I have small websites and in high numbers. So I always go for account with unlimited domain hosting and atleast 100 MySql database support.

Well I used first auto-hosts I mean those sites that create a forum for you...then I decided to move and have everything I want so I did some post jobs and got some money and searched for a good cheap host. I found bynet and one thing lead to another and I got to get my own host company XD and well bad luck my country is on the black list for pay pal and when i kinda run out of money i found myself using a free host again

When i am looking for a host service i look for the following things....
    Database types supported,
    FTP access,
    Webmail,
    cPainel,
    Price,
    Support team,
Down-times and i always try to know the company age and future.... If it hasn't many clients, it should close soon, no i will not order there!

There is an other thing that i do, always i am searching for a host.... i never pay annually before testing the service...
I order one month of host and put there a test website/forum.....

Some would say that the price tag would be the most attractive part of the whole deal but I would have to disagree with that. Of course you would just be getting your money's worth so you can only expect so less if you get a cheap hosting plan. One of the things I really look for is the support service and especially the ticket system. Database support, ftp, management panel and stability would then come into consideration

While choosing a Web Hosting Service points should be considered :

    1. Price
    2. Area of Focus / Specialties
    3. Tech Specs / Limitations
    4. Tech Support
    5. Features / Add-Ons
    6. Hardware
    7. Customer Reviews / Satisfaction / Reputation
    8. Email Features

Some would say that the cost tag would be the most eye-catching element of the whole cope but I would have to don't agree with that. Of course you would just be getting your entire value so you can only anticipate so less if you get a inexpensive web host strategy. One of the elements I really look for is the assistance assistance and especially the admission program. Data source assistance, ftp, control section and balance would then come into account
