Thread: Ways of getting directory backlinks

I have submitted many sites in many different directories. I want to share some tips for getting directory backlinks.
1.Check the index pages of directory, if index pages more than 30 you can submit your site there.
2.Check the page rank, page rank must more than 2.
3.Check the domain age it must be more than 1 year
4.Check the dofolllow attribute
5.Submit site in most relevant and cached category.

Many Webmasters are not giving more preference to the directory submission, but after reading this, they come to know that directory submission also gives good backlinks!!!

Just to add to your tips...

Submit to new web directories as they are announced. Those that own new directories want to populate their categories and are more likely to approve your submissions quickly. And don't let the toolbar fool ya. It's better to be listed in a PR 0 directory then waiting to be reviewed in a higher PR directory. Submit to them all over time.
