Hello All
I recently found some good points about increasing blog traffic. I would like to share it with all of you –
1. Start commenting in some good news sites related to your blog theme. Start posting comments with your blog URL.
2. Start commenting in hubpages and squidoo lances.
Both points are really good and I got lots of traffic may be it will help you all to increase blog traffic.

I would also like to say that If we can get the links from .gov and .edu domains it will also increase the traffic as well as backlinks for our sites.

Nice post...In my point of view blog commenting is the best way to increase the traffic on your blogs....It also increase the page rank of website...!

@Brishen adding to your point, try searching for blogs where comments are not marked as No-Follow. In this way, it will help you a lot in gaining good PR quickly.

Thank you a lot I didn't know much about blog traffic I assumed its the same as for forums. I now made a new blog for the first time I had a few forums and they worked well but a blog is a bit different and it was hard for me to get some traffic. I will try your tips and hopefully get some traffic and comments on my blog

I've been an advocate of blog commenting for ages, not only will it help with gaining you backlinks but it will help attract people to visit your blog.

I'd add that you should try and find blogs that have a plugin enabled called CommentLuv. It places an extra link trto your latest blog post in your comment.

CommentLuv plugin helps a lot for the website owner as well as commenter. You can search your term in google with commentluv prefix to get the blogs with it.

Another thing that you can do to increase traffic on your blog is to organize a contest like a guest blogging contest. You will only have to spend a little money on giving the prizes, but it will result in thousands of dollars worth of traffic!
