    What Database I should use?

    Hello all,
I'm starting a new project in .net with vb. I've used SqlServer in my previous one.
Please suggest any other DB which will be more suitable for me.

why don't you use MySQL, its easy to use with lot of documentation. If you are not having concern with security then its a good choice else go for Oracle DB BUT thats not free for professional use.

Since VB is a microsoft product, I would recommend you to use database management system (DBMS) and you can use it Microsoft sql server. I am sure, this combination would work for you very well.

I recommend you to use MySQL as it is the best one in my opinion. It is the best and most known one.
All hosts support MySQL at the moment.

Where did he say it's for a website? He's writing an application in Visual Basic, so Microsoft SQL Server is probably a more integrated fit. (Admittedly, he did post this in the wrong section)

I believe MySQL is the best option you've got. I recommend it.

I would have to suggest mysql as it would be very apt to what your purpose is. Oracle will be too advanced in my opinion and it would cost quite a deal also. Microsoft access will be very simple but it is not yet at that level for an online database.

I think mysql would be the real obvious choice here so you might want to check that out.
