I have thought of starting affiliate marketing from a long time but whenever I see some good products, I find huge competition. And if there is low competition, number of searches are very less.

Finding low commissioned affiliate programs may be a good motive but they may not be paying you heavy commissions in the long run. More money might have to be spent in advertising the product. Hence the difference in the profit made and the money spent towards advertising will be low indeed.

There is always the danger of spending more amount on advertising as rightly pointed out that the actual profit earned. One more thing. Low commissioned products are good if you can earn residual commission from them. Otherwise stay away.

I found success in marketing low commission products. This I say because most of the time I resort to SEO techniques and I have not used much of PPCs for marketing or advertising purposes.
